Dr. Roberson is an Associate Professor at the University of Miami, School of Nursing and Health Studies. He completed the PhD in Nursing Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the MSN at the University of South Florida, and the undergraduate in nursing at St. Petersburg College. He also earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Troy University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from The University of Alabama. Dr. Roberson is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Research and Academic Interests
Research interests include addressing the psychiatric mental health needs of incarcerated adolescents and the implementation of assessment centers in juvenile detention centers to address these specific needs. Academic interests include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate (Psychiatric Mental Health NP, PhD and DNP) levels.
