Salma Hernandez, MSN, ARNP, ACNP-BC, is a Lecturer at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies, where she teaches in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program and graduate simulation lab. She also serves as Clinical Education Coordinator for the international trauma training program of the William Lehman Injury Research Center/Department of Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Ms. Hernandez facilitates training and education for US Department of Defense and Department of State personnel. She holds a BSN and MSN from Barry University, and is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of professional clinical experience. She currently practices in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
