November 20, 2012 — Coral Gables, FL — The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS), was once again cited for their excellent programs and faculty by the National Organization of Nurse Practitioners Faculties (NONPF) to be designated as an 2012/2013 Honor Roll School. The NONPF is the only organization specifically devoted to promoting quality nurse practitioner (NP) education at the national and international levels.
Nilda (Nena) P. Peragallo Montano stated, “To be selected for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioners Faculties Wall of Honor for two consecutive years is a testament to the outstanding efforts of our exceptional faculty in designing and maintaining a world class learning environment that consistently turns out highly qualified health care professionals. We also recognize the hard work of our students, who are the center of our programs.”
The School of Nursing and Health Studies offers outstanding master’s degree Nurse Practitioner programs in the areas of Family Practice; Adult-Gerontology Primary Care; and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. The faculty are recognized academic and clinical leaders in their respective specialties.
