The WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing Human Resources Development and Patient Safety has completed the one-year piloting phase of the Nursing and Patient Safety free on-line course, developed by our WHO Collaborating Centre in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization and the International Network for Nursing and Patient Safety (RIENSEP). The redesigned 11-module course was launched in Sept. 2012 at the XIII Pan American Nursing Research Colloquium in Miami, Florida. The course is available free of charge in English and Spanish with the Portuguese version currently in the review process.  Evaluation of the course and its use will be ongoing.
