Welcome to the website for the WHO Collaborating Centre for Nursing Human Resources Development and Patient Safety. It is my pleasure to share the news of our many exciting activities and plans with you.
The renewal of our designation as a WHO Collaborating Centre for another 4 years serves as acknowledgement of the valuable international healthcare pursuits being carried out at our Centre within the School of Nursing and Health Studies. We are proud to continue to hold this elite recognition.
Our plans for the future are to build on the success of our existing global initiatives. We plan to focus on healthcare education, nursing workforce development, dissemination of critical patient safety knowledge, and the strengthening of research capacity in critical regions of Latin America and the Caribbean.
I encourage you to peruse this website to learn more about our research endeavors, faculty and student exchange programs, knowledge-disseminating conferences and events, free distance learning resources, and other global leadership activities.
Thank you for visiting our WHO Collaborating Centre page. We look forward to continuing to foster international collaborations and to moving the conversation forward on how to strengthen patient safety, healthcare workforce development and research infrastructures in Iberoamerica and the Caribbean in the new millennium.
