     As the new president of the School of Nursing and Health Studies Alumni Association, I would like to welcome you all and express my gratitude for all your continued support. Our School of Nursing and Health Studies diaspora of alumni are critical to our success and essentially serve as ambassadors in their professional lives.

     I would like to emphasize to each of you, the importance of philanthropy in strengthening our School and providing our students with the valuable resources they need in their aspirations and educational mission. As a UM School of Nursing and Health Studies alumnus, I am sure you share my pride and can relate to the importance of giving back.

     Plans are well under way to deliver an exciting year of activities for our Alumni Association. Our goal is to increase our alumni presence, participation and outreach; build long-lasting relationships, and of course, make a difference.
