2013 –Alumni Weekend & Homecoming Reunion Celebrating 65 years of Excellence in Health Care Education
WELCOME FROM DEAN PERAGALLO MONTANO:
Dear Alumni and Friends,
Welcome to the School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) Alumni Weekend and Homecoming Reunion 2013!!
Our alumni are a great source of pride for the School of Nursing and Health Studies. Over 6,000 of our graduates provide distinguished leadership and excellence in patient care and research across the state of Florida, the nation and around the globe.
As our school celebrates its 65th anniversary, your support continues to enrich our reputation as one of the top nursing and health studies schools in the country. Plans are underway for South Florida’s first education-based simulation hospital, a five-story, 39,000 square foot facility that will replicate the true flow of activity in a clinical practice and hospital and provide an educational setting for students unparalleled in the history of nursing education and healthcare in South Florida. It is truly an exciting time at the school!
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to get together, meet, reminisce on memorable experiences and renew our commitment to the ideals of our Alma Mater. It is with great anticipation that I share with you signature events that will be taking place such as the Homecoming Breakfast at the historical Biltmore Hotel, the Homecoming Parade, Boat Burning, Fireworks, and our Homecoming Football Game!
We measure our worth by you, our alumni. Thank you for all your continued efforts in building on the reputation and rich heritage of the School of Nursing and Health Studies as one of the most acclaimed programs in the country. It is my hope that this year’s alumni homecoming will be an unforgettable event for everyone. Once again, thank you and welcome back to your Alma Mater!
We look forward to celebrating your place in UM’s history!
