University of Miami Nurse Anesthesia Program graduates national certifying exam first time pass rate is 95.4%, and 100 % overall pass rate inclusive of second time test takers for the last five years.
Our attrition rate for our last cohort of students who graduated in 2012 was 7%. Attrition may be due to academic failure, clinical failure, or decision to withdraw for personal reasons. Some students discover that a career in anesthesia is not the best professional fit for them and choose another advanced practice specialty. We want our students to be successful and offer support through personal attention and remediation.
All 100% of CRNAS graduates for 2007-2012 are employed in the field as certified registered nurse anesthetists.
