Sebastian Möller - Rheine, Germany
I am staying at the Sharklab for 4 months because of my course of studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Breureu, Germany. I had to look for a place where I can take a semester abroad. I wanted to gain more experiences in practical field research and I was fascinated by sharks since I was a young boy. So there was no other option but to come to the Sharklab to meet many people who are fascinated by sharks in the same way and to work with them. In addition to that I can work where other people go for holidays.

I came to the Sharklab for 4 months because I love these animals and I want to be a shark researcher. I think this is an optimum opportunity to learn more about sharks and the field work with them. I am very happy to be here!

Robert Mussgnug - Karlsruhe, Germany
I have wanted to do some volunteer work for years now, but never managed it due to time, financial or health constraints. I was finally able to come for 4 months starting this summer to experience the life and daily running of a field station and gain valuable skills that I can use later as a marine biologist. Working here at the Sharklab gives me an opportunity to learn these skills while working on the cutting edge of elasmobranch research.

I came to the Sharklab for 2 months because I have a great passion for the sea and I have always been curious about its inhabitants, and especially about sharks! Therefore I believe that this experience will be very interesting for my future studies and life. |

Marc Stickler - Salzburg, Austria
I came to the Sharklab for 1 month because it’s got a very good reputation and almost all great shark scientists have been here before. I just wanted to feel what its like working with sharks and not just learning about them in theory. And of course I heard and read some books and papers from Dr. Gruber who built up this unbelievable field station so you can learn and experience a lot, which is great! |
