University of Miami Women's Commission
Founded in 1971 by a group of eleven strong women united in purpose, the Women's Commission is committed to:
- encouraging a general awareness of women's needs and interests
- developing educational resources about issues confronting women
- providing support for University women, both students and staff, who wish to organize task forces to accomplish special projects of interest to University women
The Women's Commission is concerned with reviewing policies, procedures and attitudes that affect the status of women at the University, and with recommending progressive change. We invite you to read the Women's Commission Dissertation
