The University Village is staffed with two full time professional staff members that handle the day to day operations of the building. Learn more about them below.
Hi everyone and welcome to the University Village; UV is a wonderful place to be! My name is Alexis J. Cole and I am the Area Director for UV. I am originally from Western New York in the small town of Livonia (30 miles south of Rochester). I went to Buffalo State College and earned a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Creative Studies. I was involved with Residence Life as a Resident Assistant and worked with Orientation as an Orientation Leader. With my love of student affairs and working in a college environment, I continued on to pursue my Masters in Student Personnel Administration. I worked as a Resident Director in the Porter, North Wing Complex working closely with specialty populations. After graduation I was off to sunny Florida to work in Tampa at the University of South Florida where I was a Residence Life Coordinator for the past four years. I am proud to now be a part of the University of Miami and thrilled to learn from and meet all of you. I hope to see everyone at our programs and events. Do not hesitate to stop by and say hi, my office is located right inside the University Village main office. Ok, get back to studying now! It’s going to be a great year. Remember, “It takes a village…University Village.” Go Canes!!!
Hello, my name is Christine Stroface, and I am your Office Supervisor here at University Village. This is my first year working at University Village, however I have been an employee with the University of Miami since 2007. I have participated in the Administrative Support Program here at UM as well as have taken other classes to further develop my administrative, leadership and technical skills. I am a Miami native and I am an avid Canes fan. Since I was a little girl, our family would go the Orange Bowl and watch the football games. I am happy to be raising my teenage son, Dominic, here in Miami and continuing that tradition. If I can assist you in away way, please stop by the UV office and let me know. With that being said, I want to welcome you to the UM Family and your home away from home here at UV. It’s all about “the U”!!!
