The Rathskeller (fondly referred to as the “Rat”) is a popular student meeting place that was built for the University of Miami students. The Rat serves great hamburgers, specialty foods, cold beverages and also is a venue for campus entertainment such as live bands, poetry slams and comedy acts.

A campus institution since 1973, the Rat has temporarily setup operation in the UNIVERSITY CENTER next to the pool and patio, while the new Rathskeller is under construction. The new and improved Rat will open in its permanent location inside the new Student Activities Center in 2013. The Rathskeller has something for everyone.
