The Butler Center offers a number of resources to students, student organizations, professors, administrators and community partners:
For students:
We offer resources to find volunteer opportunities around Miami and placement with organizations. We also offer a number of leadership development programs designed to help students maximize their potential.
For student organizations:
Butler Center organizations are free to use the physical resources in our office, such as our projector, coolers, carts or markers. Butler Center organizations are also eligible to be advised by the professional staff of the office.

For professors:
Butler Center professional staff is willing and able to advise professors as to how to build service into their curriculum. Past services for professors have included finding sites and opportunities in the community, building curriculum for new service-learning courses, building syllabi and learning outcomes for service learning classes and providing books and resources for professors interested in starting service learning courses.
For administrators:
The Butler Center professional staff is trained in leading team-building retreats for groups of all ages, sizes and physical ability.
For community partners:
Over 70% of UM students volunteer each year, so we are always looking for sites to place volunteers. In addition, we have an agency orientation and expo each semester to help community partners find volunteers at UM.
For all:
Come in to UC 240 and find out how we can help you in your leadership and service endeavors!
