The University of Miami Greek Community offers many opportunities for leadership, community service, scholarship, friendship, and lifelong membership. You are encouraged to explore what Greek Life can offer you! Each of our four governing councils is made up of different fraternities and sororities. They all have different recruitment schedules.

Panhellenic Council’s Spring (formal) Recruitment
Any women interested in joining one of the Panhellenic Association sororities should plan to return to on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Recruitment activities will run each day, January 10 through January 15. Women should plan to participate in each day’s activities in order to be eligible for membership into any of these groups. Additionally, each woman who is interested must first register on-line. Registration begins in October through the last week of classes, closing for the academic year on December 31, 2011. Interfraternity Council Recruitment: (Fall) August 21 - September 2 or (Spring) January 16 - February 3
The recruitment process varies by fraternity, but historically involves a combination of brotherhood outings, one-on-one interactions, information sessions, and "smokers". As the conclusion of the two weeks of recruitment, each fraternity extends "bids" or offers of membership, to men that it wishes to be a part of its organization. Watch out for more details to be announced through the Interfraternity Council.

NPHC/MGC Recruitment:
All organizations in both these councils have an equally unique collection of recruitment processes. While some organizations have formal recruitment, other organizations create interest through interest meetings, informational sessions or word-of-mouth. More specific information such as frequency, nature and length of Rush/Intake period may be different for each individual organization.
