Congratulations to our new 'Canes and welcome to the University of Miami!
New Student Orientation marks a new beginning and serves as the foundation of the UM experience for undergraduates. It is our hope to provide you with the information necessary for a successful transition into your life at UM. Below are some important dates for academic year 2012-2013, and additional information is available through the tabs on the right.
FALL 2012
Once the enrollment deposit has been paid, new students will be prompted to register for new student orientation through myUM. Registration will open April 2, 2012 and close on June 29, 2012. Upon registration, new students and their parents will start to receive email updates throughout the summer. A

º Residential College Move-in begins

◊ Wednesday, August 15 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm – Last name begins with "G" through "O"
◊ Thursday, August 16 from 8:00am to 1:00pm – Last name begins with "P" through "Z"
◊ Wednesday, August 15 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm – Last name begins with "G" through "O"

Parent Orientation:
Parents of new students are welcome to attend an optional parent orientation program. A Preliminary schedule of events is now available.

• Thursday, August 16 – Saturday, August 18 (ends no later than 1pm)
º Parent Orientation for parents of freshman students
