Assistant Area Director - Ross Logan
Ross Logan

Hello and welcome to the University of Miami! My name is Ross Logan and I am the Assistant Area Director for Stanford Residential College. I was born in Tampa, FL, but I moved to Boulder, CO with my family just before I entered 3rd grade, so I consider myself to be from Colorado. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Oregon where I also minored in Business Administration and Queer Studies. While at the UO I served as an RA, an orientation assistant, and a parent and family programs assistant. In May of 2013 I earned my Masters of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University where I was an Assistant Community Director for 2 years. Most recently, I spent a year working at Rutgers University in New Jersey where I was the Residence Life Educator for a building of 500 first-year students. Starting here at the University of Miami this year feels a lot like coming home, as I have fond memories of growing up in Florida, and all my extended family still resides in Tampa, so I’m happy to be closer to them!

I’m so excited to be working here in Stanford Residential College with all of you, as first-year students are some of my favorite students to work with. I spent a lot of my time in grad school researching and studying a few of the common challenges you might face this year, and Id be happy to help you navigate through and find success! Here at Stanford, we value academics, involvement, and a solid sense of community. Our staff members are great resources for our students, providing support and guidance – and a friendly face around SRC! So remember to look around, meet new people, try new things and make the most of your experience here at the U! Go Canes!!

Office Supervisor - Crissie Acosta
Crissie Acosta

Hi, my name is Crissie Acosta, I am the Office Supervisor at Stanford Residential College. This is my third year working for The U! I was born and raised here in Miami (one of the few) where I am continuing to spread my root with my husband and beautiful daughter! I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and worked for several years as a preschool and art teacher. Throughout my years teaching, I learned that one's experiences shape who we are and how we perceive the world around us. Being a part of such a diverse community both in and out of the university, will give you the unique opportunity to learn and grow like no other place in the world. With this, I want to welcome you to my hometown, the University of Miami and to Stanford family. Go Canes!
