Area Director -- Seth Reder
Seth Reder

Hello and Welcome to Stanford Residential College!

My name is Seth Reder, and I am excited to be joining the University of Miami team as the Area Director for Stanford Residential College! I am originally from the small town of Boring, OR (and yes, that is the real name of the town), but I have lived in Los Angeles, CA for the last 6 years, where I received my Masters of Education degree at the University of Southern California. During my undergraduate experience at Chapman University, I studied Theater Performance, Music, and Leadership Development, and was very active with the student and residential activities and community. I love to continue learning, playing music, playing sports, traveling, and getting to know what each of you has to offer to our great community.

As you prepare to enter the University of Miami, and your new home at Stanford Residential College, you will find a phenomenal opportunity to learn, grow, experience, get involved, have fun, give back, make an impact, serve our community, and truly make the most of your experience at the University of Miami. I look forward to a great new year, and I am excited to get to know our new Stanford Residential College community and begin working together to make the most meaningful and memorable year as your first year experience at the University of Miami! Welcome again!

Assistant Area Director - Phillip DuVentre
Phillip DuVentre

Hi and welcome to the University of Miami and Stanford Residential College! I am Phillip DuVentre, from Tennessee, and this is my first year at UM! I earned a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University where I served as an Assistant Residence Coordinator. I studied Business Administration at Murray State University, where I was a part of my Residential College Council for 2 years. One of my favorite quotes is "You never really leave a place or person you love, part of them you take with you, leaving a part of yourself behind." I plan to bring my great experiences and knowledge from my background, to an already dynamic and traditionally rich Stanford Residential College. Likewise, I hope you are ready to embark on a great journey of your first year experience and hope that you are ready to experience, learn, positively impact, and contribute to our community, making and leaving it a better place. I look forward to a great beginning for the both of us and hope this is a beginning to our positive impact on Stanford, UM, and the world!

Office Supervisor - Crissie Acosta
Crissie Acosta

Hi, my name is Crissie Acosta , I am the Office Supervisor at Stanford Residential College. This is my first year working for The U! I was born and raised here in Miami (one of the few)! I earned my bachelors in elementary education, and worked for several years as an art and preschool teacher. Through my years teaching I learned that one's experiences shape who we are and how we perceive the world around us. Being a part of such a diverse community both in and out of the university, will give you the unique opportunity to learn and grow like no other place in the world. With this I want to welcome you to my home town, the University of Miami and to Stanford family. Go Canes!
