Assistant Area Director - Ross Logan
Ross Logan

Ross Logan is the Assistant Area Director for Stanford Residential College. He was born in Tampa, FL, but he moved to Boulder, CO with his family when he was young, so he considers himself to be a Coloradan. Ross completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Oregon where he also minored in Business Administration and Queer Studies. While at the UO he also served as an RA, an orientation assistant, and a parent and family programs assistant. In May of 2013 Ross earned his Masters of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University where he was an Assistant Community Director for 2 years overseeing a building of 1200 pre-med students. Most recently, Ross spent a year working at Rutgers University in New Jersey where he was the Residence Life Educator for a building of 500 first-year students. This is now Ross's second year here at the University of Miami and he still feels like he "came home" to Florida, since Ross has fond memories of growing up in Florida, and all his extended family still resides in Tampa, so he goes to Tampa to spend time with them when he can! Ross is so excited to be working here in Stanford Residential College with all of you, as first-year students are some of his favorite students to work with. Ross spent a lot of my time in grad school researching and studying a few of the common challenges first year students might face this year, and he would be happy to help you navigate through and find success! Here at Stanford, we value academics, involvement, and a solid sense of community. Our staff members are great resources for our students, providing support and guidance – and a friendly face around SRC! So remember to look around, meet new people, try new things and make the most of your experience here at the U! Go Canes!!
