Academic Fellows (AFs) are undergraduate student staff members who live in the residential colleges. AFs serve as an academic transitional support system for first-year students as they face new challenges and concerns during their first year of college. Over the course of an academic year, AFs work an average of 10-12 hours per week. These hours include programs, designing & creating bulletin boards, and office hours. Learn more about each of Stanford's AFs below.

Hey everyone, my name is Coby Reimers. I'm a senior from Homestead, FL double majoring in physics and applied mathematics. This will be my third year as an AF and I'm certain it will be the best one yet! I'm a member of the Society of Physics Students and have done research in non-linear optics and nanomaterials. My activities include hanging out with friends, Hurricanes football, and ultimate frisbee (studying isn't in there..oops). I love crashing random events on campus for free food (and maybe learning something along the way). Hope to see you at one of them. Get ready for an awesome freshman year at The U!
