The Butler Center offers a number of resources to students, student organizations, professors, administrators and community partners:

For students:
    A great place to learn about the different opportunities available to you through the Butler Center is our Get Involved page. This page contains links to a list of our student organizations, leadership development programs, community service opportunities and more!

    We offer resources to find volunteer opportunities around Miami and placement with many non-profit organizations. We also offer a number of leadership development programs designed to help students maximize their potential. To find volunteer opportunities, check our out Community Partner Database which houses contact information for almost 500 local organizations.

    The Butler Center also sponsors the Service and Leadership Liaison Program. With this program, each Residential College (as well as Commuters) are assigned a Liaison. Students interested in volunteering or developing leadership skills should seek out these Liaisons. For student organizations:
    Butler Center organizations are free to use the physical resources in our office, such as our projector, coolers, carts or markers. Butler Center organizations are also eligible to be advised by the professional staff of the office.

    The Butler Center has a Public Relations Coordinator and Graphic Designer available for student organizations to include in their own publicity efforts.
    • The Public Relations coordinator is responsible for managing the Butler Center's Facebook Page, Twitter Account and YouTube Channel. The Coordinator is also responsible for all Butler Center Media Relations. Butler Center organizations wishing to collaborate on various social media sites or pitch stories to on- and off-campus media outlets should contact the Public Relations Coordinator at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
    • Butler Center organizations looking to design logos, palm cards, t-shirts, posters and other printed materials are encouraged to meet with our Graphics Designer.     Club Report Forms
For professors:
    Butler Center professional staff is willing and able to advise professors as to how to build service into their curriculum. Past services for professors have included finding sites and opportunities in the community, building curriculum for new service-learning courses, building syllabi and learning outcomes for service learning classes and providing books and resources for professors interested in starting service learning courses.
For administrators:
    The Butler Center professional staff is trained in leading team-building retreats for groups of all ages, sizes and physical ability.
