The Social Justice Week committee hosts a social justice networking night in January to connect students with nonprofit organizations in Miami that need volunteers and interns. The event consists of a brief speed dating-like session with representatives from various nonprofits meetings students in groups of four or five. This will be followed by an opportunity for the students to network with the community partners one-on-one. The organizations that participated in last year's event are Art of Cultural Evolution, BRANCHES, Catalyst Miami, City Year, PhilanthroFest and the YES Institute.

Nonprofit Networking Night

The Butler Center for Service and Leadership, Toppel Career Center, and the Office of Civic and Community Engagement is hosting the annual Nonprofit Networking Night. The evening is an opportunity for students to interact with community partners from various nonprofit organizations and learn about volunteer, internship and full-time job opportunities. Some of the nonprofit organizations represented at previous years' events include the Peace Corps, Miami Children’s Museum, Big Brothers Big Sisters, City Year and more.
