Hello! My name is Rondell Burt, and I am a junior majoring in mechanical engineering. This will be my second year as a RA. I moved around a lot as a kid, so I am not really “from” one place, but if I had to call someplace “home” it would be Florida. I have two younger brothers, and a younger sister. I enjoy playing basketball, running, playing video games, listening to music, playing piano, and hanging out with my friends. I love God, and I am actively involved in University Christian Fellowship, one among many awesome campus ministries. I am always ready to have my points of view changed and I enjoy experiencing new things and meeting new people. Well, those are the basics of who I am. I am looking forward to having another worthwhile year in Pearson! |

Hey everyone, my name is Alounso Gilzene. I am currently a Junior studying Classics (Major) and Religion (Minor) and I am a 2nd Year RA here in Pearson. I was born and raised in Miami Gardens, Florida (So I have some knowledge of the city) and I am of Jamaican descent. My goals in life are simple: I aspire to teach and guide others; I want to learn, experience, and understand as much as I can for the rest of my life; and I want to use knowledge and wise words to try and bring about change in my home community and ultimately the world. Some of the things I have been involved with on campus since I’ve been here were Strive , C.G.I.U, CERT and Alternative Breaks (I encourage everyone to go on one at least once) I am usually very calm, cool, and collected, and I am generally a laid back person. I enjoy reading, listening to music, playing video games, and just chilling in general. I am overjoyed to be back in for a second year and I hope to help in making the residents experience here in Pearson an exciting and enlightening one. |

Heeeyy! My name is Christina Gordon and I'm a first-year RA in Pearson!! Born and raised in Atlanta GA, I am what you would call an extremely proud ATLien. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Media Management and Economics. I plan to pick up a minor in Business Administration as well. With all of that I hope to become some type of media business mogul. Close friends call me DJ Tina because I love music, particularly when I'm blasting it through speakers but I also love playing it on my guitar. When it comes to sports, I'm very competitive and I love winning but I try not to be a sore loser. Outside of being an RA and being OBSESSED with my academics I am also the Secretary of COSO. Random facts: I'm very sarcastic and silly, I LOVE analyzing film, and I'm a die hard Boston Celtics fan so if you bleed green and white, have a sense of humor, or have a secret dream of becoming a film critic then we are already best friends. Pearson STRONG! |

Hello everyone, my name is Te Hoang, and I come from Sanford, FL. I was born in Boston, MA, but I've lived in mostly FL for the past 8 years. Before coming to FL, I lived in Vietnam for 5 years, so I can at least claim I've traveled to another country, and never attended middle school. I am currently a junior and a second-year RA majoring in Accounting. I chose to attend Miami for its people, academic opportunities, and cultural diversity. Some of my hobbies and things I like include playing and watching sports, traveling, music, food, trying new things and just about anything funny. I can find humor in almost anything. I'm also a big fan of a lot of different sports. If you don't see me in my room, I'll most likely be by the Pearson Front Desk, or roaming around campus involving myself in different school activities. I'm a pretty positive guy, and I like to meet and learn about new people wherever I go, so feel free to stop by my room if you have questions or you just want to chat. I look forward to meeting everyone! |

What’s up Pearson! My name is Ryan Allen and I’m a junior studying broadcast journalism and sport administration at the one and only U. I’m from the very small and hilly town of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, which is thrown into the spotlight for only once a year when nearly 25,000 runners gather at the start of the Boston Marathon. Now at Miami, I’m so happy and thankful I migrated down south to a university filled with rich traditions, exceptional academics, thriving sports, vibrant landscapes and diverse students. I’m convinced that no other university stacks up to those five crucial dimensions as well as the U does. At the U, I’ve been involved with SportsDesk, Category 5, CAC, UMTV Today and much more. I also love to have fun by hanging out with friends, meeting new people, volunteering at events, listening to music, exercising, relaxing at the beach and attending as many sporting events as possible. In life I strive to maximize every single second and cherish all the fruits that nature consistently provides. I’m a very positive, passionate and open-minded person, as I’ll play any sport, taste any food and take on any challenge. I can’t wait to meet everyone and I look forward to the amazing year that awaits us. Go ‘Canes! |
