Pearson Residential College employs an array of full time professional staff members to oversee the day to day operations of Pearson. See below to find out more about each professional staff member.

Leslie Nevins is serving in her second year as the Area Director for Pearson Residential College. Leslie graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs and from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies. Prior to coming to UM, Leslie worked at USC's Office of Residential Education, in the Women's Center and in Crisis Response. Leslie also spent three years as an Internship Advisor for the UCDC Program at the University of California, Davis. Leslie has a passion for the outdoors and trying new sporty activities. Leslie also enjoys traveling, exploring, reading, knitting, painting, photography, crafts of any sort, event planning, live music, eating quality food and spending time with family and friends. Leslie also just adopted a Daschund mix named Clifford-you can frequently see them walking and exploring all over the UM campus.

As the Area Director for Pearson, Leslie is responsible for addressing student issues and concerns, overseeing the administration of the Residential College, supervision of Pearson staff, and helping to foster a community of collaboration and student learning through the “Pearson Experience.” Please stop by the office to say hi and get some candy from her candy jar! Hello All! My name is Anthony Sierra and I am the Assistant Area Director for both Mahoney and Pearson Residential Colleges. I am very excited to be here with you all at, “The U”! Since my father was in the military and we moved all across the U.S. I cannot really call one place home. If I had to pick, I would call New York home. I just received my Masters in Post-Secondary Education from Salisbury University and prior to that I received my Bachelors in History from Lincoln University. Please feel free to stop by the office anytime!

My name is Tracy Yosef, and I am your Administrative Assistant here in Pearson Residential College. I graduated with a Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communications from Florida International University. I was an involved student just like many of you, and can proudly say I had the best college experience. I hope that each of you will be able to say the same when you leave here. While I am origianlly from Tampa, FL, Miami has been my home for the last 10 years. I am married now with a beautiful 1 year old son, Seth, who you may see from time to time.
