Congratulations to our new 'Canes and welcome to the University of Miami!
New Student Orientation marks a new beginning and serves as the foundation of the UM experience for undergraduates. It is our hope to provide you with the information necessary for a successful transition into your life at UM. Below are some important dates for academic year 2013-2014, and additional information is available through the tabs on the right.
Once the enrollment deposit has been paid, new students will be prompted to register for new student orientation through CaneLink. Registration will open May 28, 2013 and close on August 9, 2013. Upon registration, new students and their parents will start to receive email updates throughout the summer.
A preliminary schedule of events for New Student and Parent Orientation is available below. The Department of Orientation is excited to welcome you to campus and anxiously awaits your arrival.
