Reporting to the Senior Vice Provost & Dean of Undergraduate Education, the Resident Faculty serve as positive and visible members of a residential college community. They collaborate with college staff to help plan and implement educational, academic, social and cultural programs while serving as a role model, advisor, and leader in the residential community. Faculty Master - Dr. Moore

Robert F. Moore is a faculty member in the Department of Teaching and Learning and Associate Chair of the Department. He is beginning his 36th year at the University of Miami. He has been a resident faculty member in Mahoney Residential College since 1994. He teaches courses in Classroom and Behavior Management and Special Education.

He is a graduate of Fisk University and earned the doctorate in Special Education at Indiana University. Mahoney is a very special place for him. He enjoys interacting and connecting with students. Stop by to meet him.

Associate Faculty Master - Dr. Monica Webb Hooper and Family

Dr. Webb Hooper is an Assistant Professor in the Health Division of the Psychology Department, and in the UM/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Webb Hooper earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Miami, and was a Ronald A. Hammond Scholar. She was also a resident of Mahoney Residential College. Dr. Webb Hooper received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis on health psychology from the University of South Florida.

Dr. Webb Hooper’s research interests include clinical health psychology, biobehavioral oncology, minority health, health disparities, health behavior change, smoking cessation, and obesity/weight management. She is also a dedicated mentor. Dr. Webb Hooper is looking forward to getting to know and mentoring the residents of Mahoney!
