Hi, my name is Nicholas Moore and I am a senior majoring in Journalism and Creative Writing and minoring in Philosophy. I'm from Davie, Florida, which is a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale and about 40 minutes away from here. I keep myself busy with several student organizations; notably Cru and Random Acts of Kindness. I am also very dedicated to working with the Butler Center for Service and Leadership. In my free time I love to play sports, attend as many UM sporting events as humanly possible, watch movies, sing, volunteer, and hang out with friends. I have lived in Hecht every moment of my college experience and can't imagine living anywhere else; it's definitely the place to live on campus. This will be my third year as an RA and I can't wait to meet all of you, it should be a great year at the U! Oh Yeah! Hecht Yeah! |

Hey there, everyone! My name is Kaitlyn Rancour and I am a junior here at the University of Miami. This will be my second year as an RA and I am so excited to start a whole new year in Hecht! Some things that I got involved in my first year at the University of Miami include: Baptist Campus Ministry, Relay for Life, STRIVE, IMPACT, and Hecht College Counsel. I also worked in the Department of Religious Studies as a work study. Last year I kept my focus on the RA position and really put all of my energy into making the community for my floor the best it could be. I was still a part of Baptist Campus Ministry and Hecht College Counsel (advisor) last year. I enjoy watching any sport especially our Miami football and baseball games! I love to go to the gym and work out and just spending quality time with the people I care about. Like I said before, I am so excited to be a RA again and to help incoming freshman get connected. The University of Miami and Hecht are great places to be and this is going to be an awesome year. Oh Yeah, Hecht Yeah!!! |

My name is Michael Valentino and this year will be my first year as an RA. I am a junior with a major in Public Relations and a triple minor, which includes: General Business, Marketing, and Psychology. I am (like many others) from Westchester County, New York. I actually transferred to UM last year, which makes it my second transfer. I started out at the University of South Carolina for my freshman year and transferred mid-way freshman year to Fordham University in New York. During my time at Fordham, I held a full time job as a Customer Service Representative at Webster Bank. Within eight months I was the youngest, and highest producing Representative in my market. However, when I received an acceptance letter to UM, I just couldn't pass it up. I still regard that as the best decision of my life. UM has opened up more doors for me than I can describe. This past summer I held an internship for the Integrated Marketing team for People Magazine, and I wouldn't have been able to achieve this had I still been working full time at the bank. During my free time I enjoy working out, playing tennis, helping others, and spending time with my friends and family. I know what it is like first hand to be thrown in an unknown atmosphere and I will make sure that my residents feel as much pride in UM as I do. I am looking forward to a great year with awesome experiences along the way! |

Hey everyone! My name is Melissa Olsson and I am a junior majoring in Microbiology with minors in Business Administration and Health Sector Management and Policy. I graduated from a small, private school in Tampa, Florida where I grew up, so coming to UM was an exciting change. Some of the things I have been involved with are Campus Crusade for Christ, UM choral groups, and Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-med honor society on campus. I am a huge sports fan (basketball specifically) and when I am not playing sports or watching them on TV, you can usually find me studying, singing, spending time at the beach, traveling, or playing video games. This will be my third year in Hecht and my second year as an RA, and I am so excited to meet all of you! |
