Hi and welcome to Hecht Residential College! My name is Ivan Ceballos Jr. and I am happy to be part of the Hecht community as the Area Director. I was born and raised right here in sunny Miami and, after living and working elsewhere also in Housing and Residential Life as well as advising fraternities and sororities, I am pleased to be back in my hometown. After a few years working in Baltimore, I am happy to be part of the University of Miami. In my spare time I enjoy watching and rooting for my favorite football and baseball teams, going to the beach, or exploring everything that Miami has to offer (the food is great!).

As the AD I manage the day to day operations of the area, supervise Housing & Residential Life staff, and collaborate with our residential faculty, and Academic and Career Advisor in Residence. I always enjoy meeting and getting to know residents, so please stop by my office, which is located behind the back desk. Myself and the rest of the staff are here to help make your first year at the University of Miami a well-rounded experience filled with lasting memories, meaningful friendships, and abundant opportunities for growth and new learning experiences. Welcome to Hecht! My name is Jenni Spangenberg and I am the Assistant Area Director for Hecht Residential College. This will be my second year at the University of Miami. I currently live in Eaton Residential College, but my office is located behind the front desk at Hecht. As the Assistant Area Director, I assist the AD with the day to day operations of the building as well as work with the Residential Faculty, Academic and Career Advisor in Residence (V Chunoo), Resident Assistants, Desk Assistants and Academic Fellow staff to provide you with a great Hecht experience, provide you opportunities to get involved, answer questions and help resolve issues. I am originally from Minnesota where I grew up on a crop farm outside Lake Crystal. I attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth and Minnesota State University, Mankato where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Master of Arts in Public Administration. I look forward to another great year in Hecht and the memories to come this year. Oh Yeah! Hecht Yeah!!

Hi, my name is Jeanette Remy, I am the Office Supervisor at Hecht Residential College.This is my first year working at the University of Miami, and I'm very excited to be part of "the U"! I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in Marketing and International Business. I was born and raised in Miami and am happy to be raising my 3 children, together with my husband, in this wonderful city.
