My name is Isaac Skromne and I am the Associate Faculty Master for Eaton Residential College. Originally from Mexico City, I have lived in the US for over 15 years, first in New York City, then Chicago and now Miami. While in graduate school at Columbia University I met my future wife Dina, a journalist. We have two active boys Benjamin (8) and Yehuda (6). We all enjoy interacting with Eaton residents, so feel free to stop us and chat if you see us.

Academically, I am interested in the developmental processes that transform a single fertilized cell-egg into a full organism. My lab researches the cellular decisions that make a neuron progenitor become part of the brain or part of the spinal cord. I teach Introductory Biology lab and Cellular and Molecular Biology.

Personally, I enjoy cultural activities such as going to the theater and movies. I play the guitar and enjoy cooking French and Mexican food.
