Congratulations to the families and friends of our graduates!

Commencement is a special time for our graduates and guests. The University of Miami is committed to making all Commencement ceremonies and events accessible to those who need special accommodations. All Commencement ceremonies are held in the BankUnited Center on the Coral Gables campus which is an ADA compliant venue. School and College receptions are held at various locations throughout campus. Below you will find information about parking and reception locations. Parking is conveniently located near the BankUnited Center at 1245 Dauer Drive. Directions to campus can be found here: Driving Directions

Please refer to the color coded parking map for the location of your recommended parking area. Shuttle service will run to and from the Pavia Garage and the BankUnited Center. There will also be shuttle service to Stanford Circle where you can easily walk to the Student Center Complex, U Statue on the Rock and the bookstore. There will be no shuttle service at the Ponce Garage. Passes are not required for any of our commencement parking lots, including the Special Needs lots which are located directly in front of the arena.


Schools and colleges will host receptions for the graduates and their families and guests, unless otherwise indicated. Reception locations and suggested parking lots can be found on the color coded map. Please contact the graduate's school or college directly for more information regarding the reception.

All graduates are invited to visit the U statue on Thursday, December 17 for a commemorative photo booth picture.

For information about the ceremony program, click here. The Commencement ceremonies for graduates, undergraduates, medical, and law students will be held in the BankUnited Center on the Coral Gables campus. No tickets are needed for any of the commencement ceremonies. Note: The academic procession will enter the commencement site fifteen minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. We strongly recommend that all guests are seated by this time.
