University of Miami Police Canes Kids Police Academy

The University of Miami Police hosted the first-ever Canes Kids Police Academy, a fun-filled and life skills experience for children. Participants learned about internet safety and bullying, how to identify predators, crime scene processing and about the functions of various emergency services. The event was a great success with 38 children in attendance and $1900 in funds raised for the United Way! We are grateful to Dining Services/Chartwells, Coral Gables Fire, Coral Gables PD Emergency and K9 Units for helping us make this a great event for everyone.
