Title/Position: Assistant Vice President, Real Estate
Profile:Gerard M. Altschul is the Assistant Vice president for Real Estate having joined the University in 2001. In that role, he is responsible for all acquisitions, surplus dispositions, leases, and management of, off campus, real and personal property. In support thereof, this entail records maintenance, management information reporting, business plans, financial analysis, transactional structure, negotiations and closing.
Mr. Altschul has a diverse background in all the real estate sector disciplines, emphasizing investment, asset management, finance and development. He received a B.B.A. degree in Finance and Economics from the City University of New York, and has attended numerous supplemental professional seminars.
His career progression lead to senior positions with major money center and regional banking institutions responsible for corporate and commercial lending. In addition, he has been engaged in entrepreneurial opportunities with private, for profit enterprises including President of a diversified real estate development and general contracting firm, senior executive of a hospital and healthcare organization handling project finance and management, as well as a consulting practice advising on commercial real estate investments.
