Facilities Customer Service (FCS) strives to provide our Students, Faculty and Staff with quality and timely service in order to ensure a pleasant and secure physical environment at the U. We invite you to contact us with any questions, comments or concerns regarding any Facilities related issues. We are at your service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In an effort to streamline our processes and to better serve you we have identified departmental/building liaisons to facilitate the submission of service requests and to enhance communication. We encourage all Faculty and Staff to reach out to their liaison for the coordination of any Facilities related needs. ROUTINE ACADEMIC SERVICES (Funded)

The services below are provided at no cost to the requesting department:

■ Building air conditioning systems
■ Building lighting systems (interior and exterior)
■ Building electrical systems
■ Building plumbing systems (unless for departmental equipment)
■ Classroom furniture maintenance
■ Ceiling repair
■ Drinking fountains
■ Doors and hardware
■ Elevators
■ Fire extinguishing equipment
■ Restroom fixtures and maintenance
■ Lock and key/ electronic access (ONITY / CBORD locks) maintenance
■ Programming access for CBORD locks (exterior only)
■ Painting
■ Pest control
■ Maintenance of chalkboards/whiteboards
■ Window repair and replacement

ADDITIONAL SERVICES (Non-Funded)

The services below are offered at the expense of the requesting department:

■ A/ C for departmental equipment such as liebert
■ A/ C units for file servers or telecom equipment
■ Bookcases and shelves
■ Bulletin boards, hanging of pictures frames, plaques, etc…
■ Cabinets and filing cases
■ Carpet replacement
■ Classroom furniture replacement and removal
■ Departmental/ lab furniture and equipment repairs and replacement
■ All dept Furniture Fixtures Equipment (FFE)
■ Departmental / lab refrigerators units (refrigerators, freezers, ice makers etc…
■ Disposal of non-routine trash and damaged equipment
■ Event support
■ Furniture replacement
■ Key duplication and re-keying
■ Lighting fixtures (portable)
■ Lockers
■ Signage
■ Window Treatments (blinds and tinting)
■ Uninterrupted Power Supply System (UPS System)
■ Utility connections for departmental equipment (i.e., new electrical/ plumbing lines, etc…)

AUXILIARY DEPARTMENTS

Auxiliary buildings are financially responsible for all routine maintenance services. Facilities Management provides maintenance services on a billable basis and also works closely with
Facilities Design & Construction on larger projects such as construction, remodeling or renovations.
