The University of Miami has a pre-qualification process for architects, engineers and contractors. This process allows the University to obtain the most accurate and recent information about your firm’s qualifications so that your firm may be considered for future design and construction projects.
The information provided is for pre-qualification purpose only. Specific qualifications and experience may be required for each project or job awarded by the University. Pre-qualification does not ensure the award of a contract.
All firm(s) doing business with the University are encouraged to include the participation of minority owned firms in their bid(s). In evaluating responses for determination of awards, minority participation may be a factor. Failure to adequately involve minority owned firms may be a basis for rejecting any and all responses. Such decisions are at the sole discretion of the University.
All firms interested in working with the University are requested to complete the Pre-Qualification Form provided on this web site. We encourage you to update the submitted information at any time.
The University awards projects or invites firms to participate in RFP or Bidding processes based on demonstrated experience. The information provided will be used to help determine whether or not your firm will be a good match for specific projects and you may then be asked to provide additional information.
Be advised that there are a limited number of projects at any given time and a large number of interested parties. Filling out the Pre-Qualification form does not guarantee that you will be awarded a project.
If invited to participate in a selection process you will have to provide information related to current binding capacity and insurance limits.
The University of Miami Department of Risk Management has specific insurance requirement, please review the following insurance specification.
In addition, you will need to be vendorized should you be awarded a contract. Please review and complete the Vendor Application form.
All parties invited to participate in a selection process must agree to the terms and conditions of the University of Miami Facilities Design and Construction contract for Architects and Engineers or Construction services as a prerequisite to begin work or allowed to participate. No exceptions.
