Welcome to the University of Miami for the 2016-2017 academic year.

This website is intended to provide you with basic parking and transportation information for the Coral Gables campus. For the rules and regulations pertaining to parking on campus, please be sure to obtain a copy of the University of Miami’s Moving Vehicle Parking Code. In order to avoid fines, towing, and possible disciplinary action, all vehicles on the Coral Gables campus must adhere to the policies as published in the code. Familiarity with, and attention to, the University’s Moving Vehicle Parking Code is the most effective way of avoiding a parking citation.

Motorist Assistance Program
The Motorist Assistance Program is designed to assist those who experience minor vehicle problems while on the Coral Gables campus. During fall and spring semesters, UM’s Motorist Assistance can provide jump-starts for dead batteries, access to your locked vehicle, and temporary fixes for flat tires. For assistance, contact UM Police from any Blue Light Phone on campus or by calling 305-284-6666 Monday through Friday between 8:00a.m. and 10:30p.m.

Parking During Vacation (Resident Students Only)
Parking during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks

During winter and spring break holidays, 24-hour parking is provided in the normal assigned blue zone garage or lots (Scodella and Albenga Garages for UV Residents). Commuter students are not permitted to store their vehicles on campus during the winter and spring breaks. Winter break parking is available the week of Fall Commencement through the opening day of student housing in January, both as determined by the University’s academic calendar. Spring break parking is available as of the Friday before Spring recess, as determined by the University’s academic calendar.
