Parking Permit Sales for 2016-17
Permit sales will begin at the following times for the 2016-17 academic year:
Faculty and Staff: Monday 27th June
Residential Students: Wednesday 29th June
Returning Students: Monday 11th July
New Students: Monday 18th July
Changes for the Fall 2016 semester

Summer Term Restrictions
All zone restrictions (except Purple and Blue)
are lifted during the summer term (April 27th – August 22nd). This means that a permit is still required to park on campus, but holders with any valid UM permit (except UV permit holders)
are allowed to park in any colored zone (except Purple and Blue).
Please note that Preferred and Restricted parking zones/lots, including reserved and service spaces are not included in this and are always enforced 24/7/365.
There is a dedicated campus visitor parking area on the first floor of the University of Miami’s Pavia garage.Campus visitors who use the area during normal business hours will be greeted by a parking service officer, directed where to park, and, if needed, given a campus map
“This provides a much better customer experience for our visitors as compared to the frustration of driving around looking for parking at meters, or worse parking illegally and receiving a citation.” said Richard Sobaram, director of parking and transportation. All UM colleges, schools, departments and particularly those located within the academic core are encouraged to direct their visitors to the Pavia garage. Visitors can self-pay at the pay station inside the garage, or colleges, schools, and departments can prearrange and pay for their visitors’ parking by completing an online service request form at special events service request.“We’d like the University community to help make the parking experience for our visitors a better one by directing their visitors to this designated visitor lot”, said Sobaram. Storage PODs for move-out and move-in
Storage PODs will be allowed on campus to assist residential students with the move-out and move-in process. A POD may be on campus for a maximum of 3 days
and the authorized POD companies are aware they must be collected at the end of this period. The dates that PODs can be on campus are listed below:
Spring 2016 move-out:
Thursday, April 21st: First day PODs can be delivered to campus
Thursday, May 5th and Friday May 6th: No POD delivery or pick up on these dates due to Commencement
Wednesday, May 11th: Last day to remove all PODs from campus.
Fall 2016 move-in
Wednesday, August 3rd: First day PODs can be delivered to campus
August 15th, 16th, & 17th: No POD delivery or pick up due to move-in
Wednesday, August 24th: Last day to remove all PODs from campus
