Not directly. Those messages cannot be moved to Office 365. Before your account is moved to Office 365, you should decide how to handle your oversized messages. When your mailbox is moved, any messages that are bigger than 25 MB will be left behind.
The move of email accounts to Microsoft Exchange Online will not affect your ability to acquire and use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) through our site license and home-use programs. While Office 365 is a suite of several components including Office Web Apps, Exchange Online, Lync Online, and SharePoint Online, we are adopting only Exchange Online in the near future.
The first time you access OneDrive on the web it will take a while as the storage location is provisioned for your use. Once provisioned, you should be able to access your OneDrive area with reasonable response time. Please note, response time is subject to local system and network resource availability.
You can use Office Mobile on iPhones, iPads, Windows and Android phones. On iPhones and iPads, the University’s Office 365 A2 subscription only allows you to download and/or view files. It does not allow for the creation of new files nor editing of existing ones. Currently, most faculty, admin, and staff are eligible to request a departmental SharePoint site. However, medical school departments should request a SharePoint site through Medical IT at 305-243-5999.
All SharePoint content is protected by restricted physical access to server, network perimeter firewalls, account (CaneID) access restrictions, anti-virus software and Secure Socket Layer communications.
Once you’ve logged onto http://email.miami.edu you can add files to your library by selecting OneDrive in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and then click New Document then clicking the desired file type.
