WirelessCanes is the University of Miami’s wireless network available in most areas of the Coral Gables campus. It provides fast, reliable Internet and UM network connectivity for faculty, staff, and students. All that is needed is a computer with an 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11n wireless LAN card. You can surf the Internet, check e-mail, and much more from anywhere within our wireless cloud. Wireless coverage information can be found on the web at http://www.miami.edu/wireless . Faculty, staff and students who wish to sign up for WirelessCanes need to visit myUM at http://myum.miami.edu/ , click on the tab "Life at UM", and under "Other Functions", click on CaneNet and Wireless Network Access.
