LISTSERV (a Trademark of L-Soft International) is a server software package which manages electronic mailing lists.
The University of Miami makes available the LISTSERV mailing list manager as a service to members of the University community. This action should not be seen as an endorsement of the purposes of any list or of any messages carried on any list.
An electronic mailing list is a collection of e-mail addresses. The idea is that people subscribe to a particular electronic mailing list, then, whenever a subscriber sends a message to the list, that message is automatically distributed by the LISTSERV software to everyone who is subscribed to the list.
No fees are charged for this service as the University has entered into a site license for LISTSERV.
