This BlackBerry outage follows days of disruptions across Europe and Asia. RIM has acknowledged issues with its service in North America, which is affecting all wireless carriers. The outage in the U.S. started approximately at 7:00 am EDT Wednesday and is causing certain BlackBerry users to experience delays or have trouble accessing the Internet, receiving and sending email and text messages and using BlackBerry messenger services. There is no current estimate as to when these issues will be resolved. Since the use of BlackBerry devices is pervasive throughout the University, be aware that email messages that you send to BlackBerry users may experience delays.
