There are three (3) main components to the IT Service Desk:
The IT Service Desk (formerly known as the Support Center) provides the user community with help for information technology problems at 305-284-6565. The analysts are responsible for providing support for all UMIT services. In addition, they support the Coral Gables campus for Central Server computer issues. The IT Service Desk is also responsible for issuing orders for data and voice services as well as setting up voice and video conference calls.
The Communication Systems Consultants is a group available to assist the entire user community with telecommunications needs by providing on-site consultations for optimal design solutions. They also advise and coordinate new installations, moves and redesigns. These services are available at no charge. Call 305-284-6565 to arrange a meeting.
Operators are the third component of the group, responsible for answering the University’s main telephone number, 305-284-2211 and directing callers to appropriate departments and individuals.
