Certified Associate in Project Management CAPM® Preparation Course
This four-day course is designed to prepare the student for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®), a valuable entry-level certification for project practicioners. This certification confirms that the student possesses knowledge of the principles and terminology contained in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), the standard of project management's best practices. This course will benefit project team members, administrators and anyone involved in the project process. Students should be familiar with the basic workings of a cross-functional project team.
Course materials cover the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management and look at a wide variety of subject areas that project managers find most problematic. The hands-on component teaches the student will learn how to apply project management techniques in real-world situations. It covers eery aspect of project management from startup to closeout. It teaches the student how to be an effective project manager rather than an effective task manager. The target audience is new and experienced project managers and their teams who have not yet completed the ncessary work experience required for the PMP® credential.
PMP® Exam Preparation Course
This fast-paced 5 day course is designed to fully prepare the student for the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) International Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam. The course utilizes the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). It covers all areas of the PMBOK® as well as examination areas not included in the PMBOK®.
Students will work through sample exam questions and will be assigned homework for further reinforcement of topics presented in class. Students will be provided a PMBOK® guide, class workbook, and examination preparation guide. The PMP Exam Cram is also included.
