Workplace Equity and Performance is responsible for assisting the University of Miami in promoting diversity inclusion in the workforce and student body and maintaining a work/learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Our role is to aid in the implementation of the University's active commitment to diversity, equal opportunity and affirmative action.

The primary functions of Workplace Equity and Performance includes administering the Affirmative Action Plan, which demonstrates the University's continuous efforts in providing equal access to employment opportunities to qualified members of protected classes; conducting training and education for the University community on awareness and prevention of discrimination in the workplace, and other affirmative action/equal opportunity issues; and working to resolve all complaints of unlawful discrimination including sexual, racial and any other types of prohibited harassment through investigation and resolution.
