Hurricane Productions (HP) and Student Government (SG) are excited to announce “An Evening With Ray Lewis.” Lewis will deliver two separate talks on October 2: one at 6:00 p.m. and one at 8:00 p.m. At the event, held in the Student Activities Center Ballrooms, students can expect Lewis to present, lecture, and take questions from the student audience.
Tickets for this student-only event will be available Monday, September 23, at 8:00 a.m., at the University Center ticket window. A limited amount of tickets will be available for graduate, law, and medical students. Tickets are valid for one talk only.
Lewis is one of the University of Miami’s best-known football alumni, and his great Hurricane pride has made him synonymous with the Miami Hurricanes. Known for his hard-hitting playing style, leadership, and unique pre-game speeches, Lewis retired from the NFL last season after winning his second Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. Lewis was selected for the Pro Bowl 13 times and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year twice throughout his professional career. While at the University of Miami, Lewis was a two time All-American and a runner up for the Butkus Award.
Student Government and Hurricane Productions worked hard all summer to make this event possible. “We are so excited to have Ray Lewis speak on our campus and to host an event that will celebrate the incredible legacy of the University of Miami” said Nicole Garcia, Student Government Executive-at-Large External. Ally Levy, Hurricane Productions Chair, adds, “Ray Lewis is devoted to the University of Miami and its athletic program. We are proud to bring such an iconic and passionate ‘Cane back to the U.”
