We serve all undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Miami and have successfully placed students from all disciplines in a variety of research opportunities.

Students may apply at the beginning of each semester that they are seeking research in order to provide current schedules and grades.  For fall placement, students may begin applying toward the end of summer. For spring placement, students may begin applying in late fall.  For summer placement, students may begin applying in late spring.  Most students are successfully placed. If the student is not placed and is still interested in research, they will need to submit a new application.

Students, please note: most research positions are not paid. Make sure that you have seriously considered your other commitments and your available time for research before you apply and before accepting a position.  The minimum time you should dedicate to research is 6 hours per week.  The hours required will vary according to the research mentor.  Please make sure that you are able to conduct research for the hours that you commit to. Before you apply, read the Frequently Asked Questions and the Research Guide for Students for additional information.
