The University of Miami is beginning a multi-phase project to upgrade the UMail email servers from Exchange 2007 to 2010 to be completed by the end of 2011. The upgrade will allow Information Technology to present a more consistent UMail web experience across different browsers and provide additional email/collaborative features.

What’s Changing?
The Outlook Web Access (OWA) login screen will have a new look and new UMail branding logo. At this time no action will be required from users (except for some Entourage users, see below). Users will continue to sign in to UMail with their CaneIDs and the link to access OWA will continue to be https://umail.miami.edu. For a video review of the Exchange 2010 OWA interface, please visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m9crNdC_Xg.

Please note:
*Entourage users who use a version older than 2008 will need to upgrade their mail clients to Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition (EWS) or Outlook 2011.

*Active Sync users (e.g. iPhone, Android, iPad, Windows Mobile, etc), please make sure to update your device to the latest firmware available. Older firmware versions of ActiveSync may have issues with the Exchange 2010 servers.
