WirelessCanes Information
WirelessCanes is the University of Miami's Coral Gables wireless network, which is available in most areas of the Coral Gables campus. This service provides the Coral Gables campus community with mobile access to the Internet and UM computing resources. Any registered laptop or PDA (with a web browser) with an 802.11b, 802.11b/g, 802.11 b/g/n, 802.11a/b/g, or 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN card can make a WirelessCanes connection. You can surf the Internet, check e-mail, and do much more from anywhere within our wireless cloud.
WirelessCanes at the Medical Campus
Availability:
Students who wish to use WirelessCanes should click here. All University of Miami employees automatically have WirelessCanes access as soon as they begin employment. Having WirelessCanes access means that an employee will be able to login to the Internet and campus network from within the wireless cloud using a registered wireless device. Employees must login using their CaneID and password. See the details below if you wish to register your wireless device.
