All accepted students must attend the pre-departure orientation, held in April or November of the semester prior to your study abroad.
There are two components to the pre-departure orientation.
The online component will be available through the online application once a participant has been accepted into a program. This component will cover important topics such as health and safety abroad, general academic policies and procedures, financial aid, housing, student accounts, disability services, and travel medicine.
The in-person component will cover culture shock, cross-cultural adaptation, and provide participants with the opportunity to speak to past participants or program directors. The date, time and location will be announced to the accepted participants through the online application.
