We want to tell you about our services for students and how to access them. We also want you to know how to obtain our help during any difficult periods that you may have while you are a student at the University. The Center also provides assessment services to assist students in their educational and career decisions.

Our staff consists of experienced professionals from the fields of psychology, psychiatry, counseling, and social work.

The Counseling Center is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are located at the Center for Student Services, 5600 Merrick Dr. Building 21-R. During evenings and weekends psychologists are available for students in crisis who are referred by the University of Miami Police Department (305-284-6666) and the Department of Residence Halls (305-284-4282). How to make an appointment?
Students need to call the Counseling Center at 305-284-5511, in the morning as close to 8:30 a.m. as possible for an initial appointment on that day or the next day.

For an initial consultation appointments are not given more than one day in advance.
