Nursing Contact Hours

The Professional Development and Training Office (PDTO) is approved by CE Broker to provide contact hours credits for nurses, which can be used for licensure renewal. This program is offered mainly to benefit UM's non-hospital based nurses, although other UM employees are welcome to attend our sessions.

PDTO Courses

Some of PDTO’s regular course offerings are eligible for contact hours credit. You can register for these courses via ULearn.

In order to receive contact hours credit for any of these regular offerings, you must complete all parts of the course, including all computer-based learning modules (CBLs) and all live, instructor-led training (ILT) sessions associated with that course. Within 30 days of completing the course, you must submit a Contact Hours Credit Reporting Form verifying that:

  1. All CBLs associated with the course you completed appear on your ULearn transcript with a minimum passing score of 80
  2. All ILT sessions associated with the course you completed appear on your ULearn transcript
  3. You have signed in on the attendance roster for each ILT session that you attended.
