Welcome to the University of Miami's Leadership team!

As part of our On-boarding process, we offer a New Leader Orientation Program which is designed to ensure that you have the necessary training, information and tools to function in your new role. This program begins with three on-line modules, followed by a series of leadership development courses that provide you with University standards, expectations, Human Resource policies and procedures as well as available resources.

  • MODULE 1 – HUMAN RESOURCES
    Explore the role of the Human Resources Department and the services that are available to you as a Leader.
  • MODULE 2 – LEGAL ISSUES AND COMPLIANCE
    Become familiar with legal issues you may encounter as a Leader, including the following Acts: Sexual Harassment, Civil Rights, Americans with Disabilities, and Age Discrimination.
  • MODULE 3 – SUPPORT SERVICES
    Explore the roles of various departments within the University of Miami and support services that are available to you as a Leader.

Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is a Competency-based Certificate Program that addresses both Emerging and Practicing Leaders.  It is designed to build or enhance current leadership skills.
