The Administrative Support Program (ASP) is a self-paced, competency-based certification program developed by the Professional Development and Training Office (PDTO) for administrative support professionals throughout the University. Administrative support staff, whether data entry clerks, receptionists, secretaries or administrative assistants, are the backbone of our organization. It is vital that members of this group be provided the opportunity to develop and to continuously improve their skills.
The ASP will provide participants with a variety of learning activities to acquire the relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities to demonstrate proficiency in each of six competencies. The program also provides them with opportunities for mentoring and to network with each other for support.
