The committee letter, also known as the “composite letter”, is written by the Office Director, Prof. Gaines, after interviewing qualified applicants. The committee letter packet consists of a qualitative ranking (Most Highly Recommend, Highly Recommend, Recommend, Recommend with Reservations, or Do not Recommend), a two-page letter discussing the applicant’s academic performance, research, shadowing, leadership, and community service experience, and six individual letters of evaluation.

When and How to Schedule the Interview
The committee letter interview period for students applying to medical school for the 2017 cycle will be February 1 - May 27, 2016.  Beginning in December 2015, students may call (305-284-5176) or stop by the office in Ungar 103 to schedule the 45-minute interview.  Students must interview within this time period.  No exceptions will be made.  Make sure to schedule your appointment well in advance to assure that you secure an interview time slot.  (Remember, you will not be eligible to interview and get a committee letter unless you attended and signed in at a 301 Session.)
